But here’s the thing: the Bible disagrees.
In fact, Scripture celebrates the person who can keep a secret. Proverbs 11:13 puts it bluntly: “A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.” Did you catch that? Keeping secrets isn’t shady—it’s the very definition of trustworthiness.
